The Whitworth is closed at the moment so don't bother with that.

The Cornerhouse might be showing something good if you like films, they also have a gallery space. Nice place for a coffee as well, its about 10 mins walk from Manchester Art gallery.

didnt even know they were opening a shop. made up with that, finally.

checked that Lisson and Muster out, its Ok, more of an outdoor shop tbh though. Did get one of their knits in the sale, top quality and warm:

I posted they were looking but not been confirmed. That HMV is an absolute monster of a building, too big for a Uniqlo outside of London I reckon, unless they closed some floors.

I thought they'd signed for the store.

They probably should have gone / go for one a similar size to they had the first time round.

Went in on Saturday but in a bit of a hurry. Sales staff (owner?) on their iMac didnt even look up and acknowledge people were browsing.

That sale knitwear looks nice.

took a pair of jeans to get tapered at the usual place opposite kendals. 20 quid!? sure it was cheaper last time.

are there any alternatives that people use?

gave a pair to one of the lads at oi polloi and they took them somewhere, that was a good few years ago though. don't know if they still do it.

I went Saturday night, I know there isn't much competiton but easily the best restaurant I've been to in Manchester - enjoyed it more than The French. Great value - definitely very highly recommended. Ask for a seat in the garden when you book

^^

Only place i use now is the denim doctor, after a few mishaps with a few pieces at a different place (mostly my pals stuff). Although price wise £20 seems to be the standard alteration charge.

You know you'll get a brilliant job done if Denim Doctor does it, is it really worth risking it for £20? Nicest bloke too

Flanagans just off John Dalton Street mate, don't do appointments so can get busy later on towards the end of the week but I wouldn't ever go anywhere else now. About 25 quid and they know exactly what they're doing, sell American Crew product also…
