Went Beef and Pudding last night. Food, drinks and atmosphere all great, tons of meat and fish options including this ridiculous 4kg beef rib they were showing off, looked so good. First new place that's opened this year that feels like its London standard.

It's a must go place Beef and pudding have just started their brunch menu.
Didn't understand the hype? Maybe it's teething issues but the service was slow, even when not busy. Eggs (on brunch, if you can't even cook eggs correctly on a brunch it's an immediate fail) on both dishes were overcooked. Girlfriend had asparagus soldiers wrapped with bacon, with a boiled egg. Asparagus also overdone/tasteless.
No spoons served with boiled egg nor coffee. No butter with toast etc. Little things, but it just felt like everything had to be asked for - and even then, it was too fucking slow. The fry-up was OK.
Went to Caffeine + Co - enjoyed.
Moose and Home Sweet Home was also a good-shout.

Going to Manchester for the weekend for a 30th. Need a breakfast/brunch spot for tomorrow? and then maybe a lunch/dinner place for Sunday… any advice?

Nah, it was earmarked.
I actually hate kosmonaught. Full of chiefs. Bar called Eleska opening on Dale street soon but it looks to be a gay bar from the furniture decor and the bloke who's running the gaff. Really into 2022 at the moment for casual drinks.
