Agreed, but they need to hurry the fuck up and get a second guitarist. That girl left months a go now yet they've done all the big Summer festivals without a session guitarist or anything and it's left their set sounding quite empty on the big stages, a lot of the intertwining riffs between the two guitars made the songs what they were.

I'm plumbing for the xx. They annoy me but I really like their music.

Agree with them needing a new guitarist asap.

It'll be a travesty if Mumford don't win it.

It's a shame Bombay Bicycle Club's album wasn't out a little sooner, they're the best band to come out of London for years.

The xx or Wild Beasts. Probably prefer Wild Beasts to win it, The xx hardly need the exposure these days.

they definitely dont need the exposure but their album is pretty amazing, saw them at somerset house the other day they were really good! I think from those listed they should win. but ive got no faith in the mercury prize after untrue not winning in 08.I wish Return II space by Mala was nominated though but not sure if its technically an album.

The XX are so incredibly derivative. And by that I mean crap.

Mumford too commercial to win
I'd say XX. Last years winner only sold 13,000 copies of the album

They're pals of mine, went to Glasto with them last year, really like their stuff even though it's not my usual thing (yes pointless cool story bro boast)

The xx: ‘We’re going to build our own studio with Barclaycard Mercury Prize winners money’

… Ok so maybe can you can afford the time to make the songs sound different on the next album
