Completely obsessed with the defender atm, thought getting a range would kill the urge but no such luck, loved it for a couple of months but just feels like a kid hauler now. Need that raw fucking shitmobile (actually don't need it at all, but you know the feeling). Just need something to rationalize it as a "fun" car, wife wants to buy a sensible 40th anniversary mini, i was on board with that until i realized it's just that, a "fun" car, nothing I would really love like a vintage 911 which is to steep. Need that defender to do important stuff, driving to the store and other relevant shit.

Prob will need a whole lot of ground work though, watching point break over and over, getting mr X hair, taking up surfing etc.

It's all good until you have to open the window to be able to use the steering wheel.

Looking to trade in my car and get one of the new (13 plate) fiesta zetec s ecoboosts, perhaps in the next few months . Do prices drop on previous years cars once the new numberplate comes out for the year? (March aint it?)

Anyone on here ride a motorbike?

Recently I've been obsessing about getting one. Can't get the thought out of my head for some reason.

Despite being a grown man, i know my old dear would do her nut if I started riding. My boss is 40-odd and still hides his bike round the corner when his mum and dad come overLaughing out loud

Just how likely am I to spaz myself getting knocked off?

When I did my CBT the instructor told me that if you ride a bike you will get knocked off at some point. It's inevitable. He was a courier in London for years and got knocked off every 2 years or so. Obviously he was out on a bike 10 hours a day though so if you are only using it for recreational uses then you are less likely to come off, but it will still happen eventually.

I'll inevitably get my license at some point, when I start playing with bikes I'd quite like to be able to test ride them! but it will always be a recreational, sunday afternoon ride sort of thing for me.

Always wanted a bike since I was little. Grew up with my old man having them, so caught the bug. All changed when he got killed a couple of years ago when an 87 year old bloke pulled out in front of him. You can have all the training in the world, but there are too many shite drivers out there that just don't see bikes.
