Finally got to experience some Japanese Street racing culture. Love that country.

Winter covers off for a spruce up. 18 years old now and after a coupla engine remap's still sounds amazing.

got a new motor on the way but its a diesel. modern (2014) 2 litre bmw. i know people were talking about dpf problems with diesels if you aren't doing mega miles. i do a 24 mile round trip to work everyday and get up to 70mph for a good 10-15 minutes before hitting traffic again - will this be alright?

I'm not expert but had a diesel, did a similarish commute for a couple of years and didn't have any problems. Just try to get it on the motorway for a decent stretch once a month or so.

Should be fine, just leave it in a lower gear on the motorway stretch now and again to give it a bit of a blow out.

+1 to above, it's usually diesels that pootle round town and never get up to temperature for long enough that are affected. Also not sure what engine or year you've got but have a read on swirl flaps.

Should be fine if you're getting up to a decent speed on the motorway. But you might not notice the benefits of fuel economy on shorter runs as diesels tend to become more economical once they've warmed up

that aint too bad to be honest. for someone like me that just needs a car to get from A to B on a saturday and sunday. Had enough of cars not starting, engine lights coming on, service indicators and general money pits. gotta go pick up my saab aero now from garage and spunk £350 on a service and repairs. Had enough of it
