Carplay/android auto is a deal-breaker for me.

Test drove a 2015 5-series the other day and it may as well have been a Model-T.

Cant believe some 2020 models still come without it.

It’s what’s stopped me from getting a Tesla so far

How easy is it to get a parking permit in London if my car is registered back home in Norfolk? does it depend on the borough?

depends on council. they are usually pretty hot on it as the parking permits have to be for people that live there

registering/insuring your car to another address is going to end in tears if you ever have to claim/are part of an accident btw. mate of mine got shafted £8k because the insurance looked into him and realised he was living in london and car was insured elsewhere - voiding his insurance

more like 495 with initial rental + VAT. 5000 miles is nothing too

Slap it to 10k still seems good value at 320 imo unless I'm missing something? OPC quoted me 960 on a taycan 4 for similar money

Ordered a lease car a couple of weeks ago, I've paid the broker and admin fee (contractcars) but yet to pay the initial rental.

Looks like I'll be working from home for a while and won't need a car. Thinking whether it is worth cancelling. Would they refund any of the fees?

Edit: Obviously can ask them but don’t want to wind them up if it’s a complete no go and the contract is pretty vague.

hugely unlikely tbh

defo going to be a lot of casualties for the "life on tick" crew with the lease/rental cars etc. over the next few months with economic slowdown/redundancies

Yeah the finance everything and pay monthly people are fucked unless they were smart enough to save something significant for a rainy day.

Some people have cars on finance, 90% mortgage on their house, sofas and carpets on finance, boilers on finance, teeth on finance.

On the bright side the government now have a scape goat for our economic failure.

I was just about to start a VW Golf GTI Cabrio MK1. May be a bit of a slow burner now.

I know most dealers have the service departments open. Kwik fit is also open.

Probably classed as essential service, think you get a 6 month extension on MOT if it's due.
