Lovely that.
PS anyone that says a Boxster isn’t really a Porsche is a knob. That new Spyder is an absolute beast too.

Prior to the 718 I would have to say the boxster wasn't a real porsche, much in the same way the cayenne is not a real porsche.
Yeah the new spyder is also £80k, hardly the mid range affordable sportscar the boxster was supposed to be.

I do love the Boxster/Cayman
The 981 feels marginally better/rawer than the 718 imo (6 pot over a 4 pot all day)… Id even say there isn't a huge difference between a 981 than the feel of the 911 certainly not to justify the extra 50 or 60k… I definitely prefer the 6-speed box in the 981 over the 7 speed in the 911… It's not as quick of course and the 911 has the iconic look but in terms of smiles there ain't much between em…
A Boxster is great value and no one would have any regrets getting one cracking mid-engined fun for very little money (what 20kish for a 2nd hand one?) both ones ive had I sold for more than I paid and cost nothing to run other than fuel and a few services

I bought a VW Eos and choose red leather myself, so it something I have done before. Couldn’t do it now. Always gine black leather. Went white this time for a change. Seems like a bad ideas already with toddlers.

Porsche's shade of red is a little bright imo, I prefer a slightly darker more brick/terracotta shade of red.
I had black leather in every car before my current 2 cars which now have fox red in the beemer, which is a lovely dark red shade and tan/cognac 2 tone in the cayenne and I would never go back to black leather now, just makes the interior feel so dull and boring. Having anything other than black does really lift the interior and make it feel more special.

Edit: Googled it, see what you mean - dark tan, looks alright.

Yeah its not two tone as in the seats are half and half, the seats are all quite neutral tan sort of colour and the armrest, door cards, dashboard steering are all cognac leather with contrasting tan stitching. Looks very classy and quite simple irl.
It was actually the interior that sold the car to me after years of having plain black leather.

Some good lease deals around on the new Golf R if anyone is in the market for a fast hatch. Have driven the old one and it is good to throw around a bit. 4 wheel drive and all that makes it easy to have a good time in. Not as good as some of the old deals (had a scirrocco R back in the day that cost £270 a month with no deposit) but still not bad.

Anyone got experience with the current generation RS5? Driven the old one and it was too hard riding for a daily. tempted by the current gen. Especially like the green colour they do.

Ace combo that… Agreed on black interior, some photos online tend to make it look garish (like mine looks proper dog cock red) but when your sat behind the wheel/in person it just feels more premium not as vivid.
If I could spec from scratch id go Iceland green

Sorry mate, I missed your response.
Thanks, I am still enjoying it! Yes red leather definitely does look brighter in photos.
I've never seen Iceland green irl but that looks very classy with the wood.
Is that a new cayenne or panamera? The new interiors really are stunning.
