Did a 300 mile trek last yesterday. Every services between Bucks and Kent on the M25 was out of fuel. Apparently the fuel situation has been bad for months. Media hysteria has made people lost their minds and hence comes the carnage.

The used car market is crazy right now. I recently sold my wife’s BMW. In two years it increased by 2 grand.

And that was a dealer offering more than WeBuyAnyCar.

I didn't think I would get an EV so soon but in need a new family car which my wife will drive 90% of the time and mostly short journeys. I've narrowed the options down to Tesla Model 3 long range, E-tron or IONIQ 5 so which is best?

hate that EVs are designed to look futuristic, they will age horribly

I’d go for the q4 e-tron. It looks a bit boring but I currently drive a Volvo so I don’t mind that

If any out of town driving is involved the only choice is a Tesla because of the network. If it's purely a city car, I'd go for the Hyundai.

agree with the ageism thing, look at the original TT now but then nobody keeps a car for life anymore.

I like the front and side profile, but the back just looks a mess imo, there's just too much going on, lines, lights, angles, chrome trim pieces.

Also UK rrp is like £37k, surely there's better EV cars out there for almost £40k.

Saw the IONIQ 5 in person recently at showroom, very nice in the flesh. Good size, roomy inside.

Saw the Tesla Model Y is available in UK for pre order. Was thinking about the Model 3 but have set my sights on the Y now for it's increase in size and practicality. Read that the 3 offers a comfier ride though.

I think they look good, i'm no Schumacher but they don't look the most inspiring to drive though

I can't see myself getting something not combustion until I have no choice though, been looking at ~4 years old X5M recently could chop my car in for one but could do without the additional costs and threat of it getting knicked

Made me chuckle..

A guy driving a Hyundai pulls up at a stoplight next to a Rolls-Royce.

The driver of the Hyundai rolls down his window and shouts to the driver of the Rolls, “Hey, buddy, that's a nice car. You got a phone in your Rolls? I've got one in my Hyundai!"

The driver of Rolls looks over and says simply, “Yes I have a phone."

The driver of the Hyundai says, “Cool! Hey, you got a fridge in there too? I've got a fridge in the back seat of my Hyundai!"

The driver of the Rolls, looking annoyed, says, “Yes, I have a refrigerator."

The driver of the Hyundai says, “That's great, man! Hey, you got a TV in there, too? You know, I got a TV in the back seat of my Hyundai!"

The driver of the Rolls, looking very annoyed by now, says, “Of course I have a television. A Rolls-Royce is the finest luxury car in the world!"

The driver of the Hyundai says, “Very cool car! Hey, you got a bed in there, too? I got a bed in the back of my Hyundai!"

Upset that he did not have a bed, the driver of the Rolls-Royce speeds away, and goes straight to the dealer, where he promptly orders that a bed be installed in the back of the Rolls.

The next morning, the driver of the Rolls picks up the car, and the bed looked superb, complete with silk sheets and brass trim.
It’s clearly a bed fit for a Rolls Royce.

So the driver of the Rolls begins searching for the Hyundai, and he drives around all day.

Finally, late at night, he finds the Hyundai parked, with all the windows fogged up from the inside.

The driver of the Rolls gets out and knocks on the window of the Hyundai. He doesn’t get an answer, but he keeps on knocking and knocking, and eventually the owner sticks his head out of the window, soaking wet.

"I now have a wonderful luxury bed in the back of my Rolls-Royce," the driver of the Rolls says arrogantly.

The driver of the Hyundai looks at him and says, “You got me out of the shower to tell me THAT?"
