Did you move away from electric because of the infrastructure or lack of it? I didn’t like the idea of planning longer journeys based on charging points

I am in a M340 also… was biding my time till the M3 touring

just sold my Panamera diesel after 30 months of ownership for 5k less than i bought it. Works out at £167 p/m which is pretty awesome. No desire to go electric yet so replaced by a V8 whilst still feasible!

I am a company director and the tax benefits to owning an electric car just make it a no-brainer.

So we have an electric car for city runs (i3s - I actually really like it) but after 2 years in the Model 3 with 230-260 of actual range on the motorway based on the way I drive I've come to the conclusion that the range isn't there for me as yet. Once actual range tops 350 the equation will change for me. As it stands if I'm doing my weekly trip into London from the Midlands I just can't be bothered to stop for 30mins to charge on the way home. I seriously considered the EQS but the availability isn't there and I wanted to change now whilst I had the crazy equity in the PCP. The Mrs is going into a X5 45e which has 40-50 miles of range which is perfect for the school run and all the other bits that may happen in her day. The Model X is a lovely piece of tech but too unreliable as a family car. As a data point it's been in with Tesla every month since May with some niggle or the other with the falcon wing doors, rear wing, AC needing gassing, play in the suspension, roof seals leaking and so on. The fact that Elon is such a thundercunt also played into my decision to get out now.

I have a Lotus Emira on order for playtime and went for a Lexus GS-F for myself for now, naturally aspirated V8 and bulletproof reliability. Picked up a 2016 with 23k on the clock and a Lexus warranty until 2026 if I service with a main dealer for less than 30k. Will get it wrapped next week so don't judge the colour, I got it super cheap because of it. Excuse the night pic but winter is coming.
