Hot hatch? maybe a little warm… too slow for hot hatch.

If I was ever going to buy a track or weekend car I would invest in a westfield/tvr/caterham, a car that was actually designed for track driving, rather than a highly tuned hatchback.

Yeah I have, and owned two RS clios. You cant compare a standard RS Megane to the R26R… There is a few variations of the RS megane some not so good. Crap cars dont set records at the the Nurburgring for giggles.

Not sure on why you dont think it isnt desgined for the track?

Around the track that car was pretty impressive, faster than a 911 in some circumstances and I understand that that particular model is designed for the track. But the car as a whole isn't designed with track driving in mind, if you know what I mean? If I had to buy a renault thuogh it would be the v6 clio.

But if I saw that parked outside the pub for Sunday lunch, I wouldn't exactly think 'wow' Laughing out loud

Ive had an edition 30 Gti for the last few years and have driven several normal ones and they have all felt much quicker than the stats would suggest they are, they would easily keep up with most of their rivals on the road no problem

I'm thinking about a diesel remap for my car, gives another 40hp and better economy. Doesn't effect the warranty and its just a module that clips in which remaps the ecu, so you can apply the original map if you want to.

Was it a bluefin you were thinking about? Heard nothing but good things about them, but ideally you need to visit superchips for them to put your car on a rolling road so they can map it properly. If you can't be arsed then they can do it all through the post, but you might get a bad map for your car.

I wouldnt get a remap done, without doing it 'properly' like aitch said, rolling road, test drives, all done by a reputable company by professionals.
Plan on getting my car remapped in October.
