did you see it and think it was a cheap motor without seeing it was a write off, if so just say so, its an easy mistake to make.

quick question re: SORN (direct gov is crap on it)

Say you leave the country for 3-4 months. Can you SORN the car before you go, then when you come back, un-SORN it?

Yes, although I wouldn't think they'd pause your tax though, why would you want to unless it's coming out of tax while you're away?

not unfeasible but essential to know what you're letting yourself in for…

considered one late 90's but was put off by the cost of replacement panels and was told that electrics could be an issue.

bags of character tho and worth a punt these days for a second/weekend car.
