you can get a 06 plate 911 with like 30k on the clock for 33k!! know which id rather have!
not to sound snobby (sorry noble) but people who buy brand new cars i just dont get! why spend 20k on a mondeo / vectra or what ever when you can get something 2 years old and a hell of a lot nicer for the same / less cash
not sure if thats snobby cos im suggesting buying second hand which in hindsight isnt snobby!

not having to get an mot, not having to pay for services, not having to ever have anything go wrong ad if it does you get treated like god.
your life would prolly be hell in an 06 porsche.
only way to buy second hand if you got money and are doing it to be cute, is to buy one year old only.
then youve still got two years of care free motoring, and then do it again ad infinitum.

its called experience mate.

have this, i sold my m6 to my mate the day it needed an mot and the warranty had run out. hes had it 6 months and has had four new tyres that cost something stupid like 1500 quid, a serious oil leak from the sump that was nearly a grand, a headlight went that was something stupid like 250 quid and now the gearbox has gone and he cant afford to fix it cos its the cost of a deposit on a small house.
i never paid one single pence on the car from new to the day i sold it other than petrol.
gits me now young padawan?

on something like an M6, surely you'd take out extended warranty though, just to be extra safe

The resale value of that tin car will be very low.
There are exceptions to this rule, not many but there are some……

well if they can afford to have one car to go eat fois gras, and another to do their weekly shop at le coq sportif then fair enough
