Yeah it that suits your circumstances then why not. Just don't fool yourself on the running costs over the year and be aware of any potential big bills should something go wrong. What would your insurance be on a Boxster?

Yeah be a bit of a nightmare if I get hit with a massive bill, but then again you can get some pretty hefty bils with any car. Insurance would be 1.5, which would be the most I'd ever pay for insurance.

Come on then wise one, share your wisdom Smiling

Laughing out loud

What would you advise noble?

I'm trying not to piss on his bonfire but my honest advice would be if you're still living at home not to be dropping 15K on a car which will then also leave you broke but it's generally redundant as the person will do what they want anyway.

Didn't mean it like that as I tried to say and seems I've got your situation wrong but still the running costs for a car like that for a year must be a fair bit. If you can afford it and want to do it then nothing stopping you Cool

Phil - Get an Elise. Who cares if your mate has an exige?

For 10k you could get a really nice Elise and it shouldn't lose any value while you have it. Porsche is a nice idea but it'll ruin you if anything goes wrong on it.

Phil - have a solid idea how you will use the car, a concrete budget and assess how much you can afford to lose on servicing and depreciation.

maybe get an older boxter for cheaper?

agree an elise may be a bit tough for everyday use.

maybe play safe and get an S2000.

its all about getting the newest flashest looking motor for your money. and its all not about getting the same car as a mate from your group. theres enogh cars in the world to not have to piss on your mates leg and tell him its raining. cunt move copying if they got there first.

what crumpet is not gonna want to go for a summer drive to a country boozer with you and go over like bambi on ice if they see this?

but this one is the guvnor tho, not as nice a colour but factory sat nav and pdc is a must in any car nowadays imho. even the yuppie fone looks like dough and makes birds go weak.
buy this phil and up your slut game ten fold.

p.s spend another 500 to a grand on an initial plate as well. then the silly cows wont even have a clue how old it is.

Yeah that does look nice, would you go for that over an Elise? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1615943.htm

Think I'd maybe be stepping on my mates toes a bit although hes had his Exiege over a year and it costs twice as much so not like im toppering him Smiling and he suggested I got an Elise but the average joe probs wouldnt know the difference between them.

Yeah best mate just got a z4 Homer, not sure it would be top of my list anway to be honest, still a v nice car for 10k mind!
