2005 55 plate Volkswagon Golf Plus. 1.4. 5 door, navy blue, 19k miles , alloys, six c.d changer and a few other bits and pieces for £4400.

Sounds cheap that, what insurance group is it?

Im still trying to decide and my car, ive rounded it down to a suzuki swift, ford fiesta, or a citroen c4 anyone on here had either of them?

Dont get a Suzuki mate,

A. Its a Suzuki
B. The depreciacion is AWFUL

not really a fan of any of those, would rather have a clio tbh.. isn't a C4 a middle aged mans car? would rather have a C2. Whats your budget?

Lol at R on the 6 series at 21 Sad you fucker, I want your parents Sad ha

Budgets about 6k and it has to be a low insurance group being my first car, I looked at clio's there nice but I don't want one, all my mates have them. I was originally looking for a corsa but im into the suzuki swift man. I would love a mini, there just too expensive.

You'd easily pick up a second hand early Mini for under 6k

Agreed, don't get a swift.

Have you looked at Mitsubisi's Colt. The new ones just been released meaning the old ones are available for peanuts.
My 19 year old cus is on his second, he love them and there supposedly easy to fettle with and tune (if your into that).
They did a Colt 'blue' which you should have a look at. It came with met blue paint, 16" alloys, matching interior etc. An ideal first car with cheap insurance and it looks pretty cool. Depreciation could be an issue but not as bad as a Swift. Have a look at it.

p.s. please don't get a Mini. Am fucking sick of the sight of the things. Am sure that in a traffic jam of stationary traffic i could walk over the roofs of Mini's and never need to step on another car or touch the floor theres so many of the bastard things around. They are the most common thing on the road. I hate everything about them.

congestion charge is the least if your worries compared to actually parking a car centrally.
