Radio was doing me in this morning on the way to work (as usual same bullshit chat and repeat songs) and then I dropped onto classical. Was about to fly past as usual when I noticed they were playing fellowship of the rings and I LOVED IT! Just ordered me the full soundtrack.

There is no filler!!!
So Here We Are was filler in my eyes
Agreed, absolutely adore A Weekend in the City. I prefer it to Silent Alarm. Its a more intimate, subtle album full of heartfelt tunes that imo are written to sound more mature and build to a strong sounding finish so that the album delibarately sounds different in style to Silent Alarm. Uniform and I Still Remember are my favorite BP tracks.

Still can't find Erol Alkan's though
Again, I don't understand how people didn't think that A Weekend In The City is a fucking amazing album. Didn't match the best moments from Silent Alarm but was still definitely up there. From the new album so far, I've heard Halo - classic BP, great track, Ares - Unusual, will probably be a grower, love the subject matter and One Day Off - not incredible

The new EP from Marc Almond, entitled Brel Extras, is to be released on Monday 1 September. The six track CD features three brand new studio recordings (If You Go Away, The Desperate Ones and Amsterdam), two remastered live recordings of The Devil (Okay) and If You Go Away and, for the first time ever on CD, the 1984 fan club flexi version of My Death. The CD is a strictly limited edition and will only be available from the Shop area of this website from Monday morning while stocks last.

Been listening to this loads over the last few days. Bit of Radio One spam in there every now and then though.

skinner will always be calssed as a brilliant working class poet, but hes got to much wedge now and seems like a piss take when hes doing tracks about reposession on one hand and then about the ozone layer on the other…make your mind up who your fans are mike, fifi and peaches or vicky and sarah, you cant ave both guy.
Thanks
