I've just got back and stayed here:

http://www.tudorhotelny.com/

Booked through here for $161 a night

http://www.quikbook.com/

Very good website, another fuk'er on here recommended it to me and they're always got deals on.

aitch is the tudor hotel actually like what its like in the photos, because for the money that would be a very good rate (looking at 170 a night for early january)

Yeah I'd say so, the room I stayed in was like the ones in the photos but a lot more spacious. Service there is really good, about a 15 minute walk from times square.

you have to give your passport into the reception of hotels at check in all over the world now, thats how they would know.

p.s make sure you take some fake id for half a lager when you go out tho, my sons silly bird didnt the other month when we went, and she had a fucking mare, and shes 20 as well, we were all hammered and she had to sit there watching us. Laughing out loud

ive stayed there before and its one of the nicest in NY, either that or soho grand in my opinion

and as noble said because of the passport, its being impossible to find somewhere where two 18 year olds can stay

Surely backpacking places will let under 21s stay fonty? They're way more fun than hotels anyway.

ymca was a massive win for me when I went over.
basic rooms (but you dont want to spend much time in your room really).
free gym, basketball court, running track (that was basically a massive continuous blacony that you could run around, was mad).
it was really well situated, three minutes from times square, opposite central park.
the atmosphere in there is chaotic but met loooads of cool people.
definite no-no for romantic weekend tho.
