Best pizza I got was at Roberta's in Bushwick.

Also had a great brunch at Five Leaves in Williamsburg.

Best beers was at Törst - also in Williamsburg.

GYU KAKU,http://www.gyu-kaku.com midtown, go early eats & drinks for happy hour, well nice if you love your meat and a great dining experience IMO.

Peter Luger's Brooklyn for best steaks, secret burger joint for a greasy old time deal very tucked away in one of the nicest hotels. Egg in Brooklyn is very good for lunch and lots of Thai and Asian cuisine in Park Slope / Willamsburg area of Brooklyn.
Get to the best ribs and pork joint with a jazz club downstairs, Blue Smoke - midtown ish, can't beat it, baby back heaven.

Going in April for a week. Gonna be staying in an apartment in Manhattan. Does it really matter which district. Will be doing a bunch of the regular tourist stuff (Met, Statue, Ground Zero, Central park, Knicks or Yankees etc), but not running around like a blue arsed fly.
