You got the lingo sorted,so the cab drivers wont rip you off as they will think you are a native. Going in April for a week. Gonna be staying in an apartment in Manhattan. Does it really matter which district. Will be doing a bunch of the regular tourist stuff (Met, Statue, Ground Zero, Central park, Knicks or Yankees etc), but not running around like a blue arsed fly.

Right, I'm returning for the big run on Friday. Not been back since 2009. Anyone know anything standout that's changed since then, other than Sankeys opening, Virgin megastores closing, and this highline business. Whilst I'm walking around with what'll feel like glass in my thighs, what should I be seeing…?

The piers in Williamsburg are pretty new, loads going on, definitely worth checking out lovely view of the city from there too. Food wise, Cheesecake at juniors downtown BK, Gloria's Brooklyn heights for the best patties you'll ever taste plus a good chance to see a different side of BK. Magnolia's bakery throughout Manhattan, La Caliente cab in west village, Mexican (my favourite spot) la lanterna also in the village good for desert and a little night cap, great little enclosed garden area out back too. And if you're gonna check out Nepenthes which I'm sure any fuker will, make sure you head just up the block to BonChon for some chicken wings, perfect snack post EG spree. For the evening check out verboten, also a rooftop bar right next to it although might be a little chilly this time of year.

Can anyone recommend anywhere in NY from AirB&B? Thinking about a break just before Xmas and like to plan well ahead!
Only been once before and stopped in the Milford Plaza in Times Square. I don't really mind which area we stop in this time providing it's safe and has decent restaurants/bars close-by.
