This shirt is nice http://www.coggles.com/item/Nigel-Cabourn/BD-Multi-Stripe-Shirt/A9DV
Is there a reason why the placket curves like that at the bottom, Folk have it on a lot of their shirts too, but is there any reason why its done like that?

Both those shirts look like something Dave Benson Phillips would wear.

The Aircrafts are in much more wearable colours (for me anyway) than last season.

Would like this but £399? Weren't these £339 last SS? The material may be improved, I dunno, but think I'll be waiting for a discount code.

Yeah agree on the colours, much better. They were £340 last year, I think.

went into Selfridges before Xmas. No Cabourn. Asked bloke in APC concession where it'd gone. He'd not heard of the brand, disappeared to ask someone else, comes back 5 mins later.

"we don't carry it any more. it's too expensive."

That Harris Tweed job ( the Atkinson) looks lovely, dread to think how much it would be.

The photographer down jacket is excruciatingly nice. A Cabourn down coat is def on my list of long-term wants, maybe one of the eddie bauer efforts.

For anyone who fancies a khaki Aircraft jacket this summer, this place is by far the cheapest I've seen. A good £100 cheaper than everywhere else, even cheaper than SS11's versions.

I think it is a military shirt detail where the lower button hole in the curved placket would button into an inside button on the trousers. this was to stop the shirt riding up at the front. The reason its curved is so it comes across to the button on the trousers as it wasn't central. Nigel will probably have many of these shirts in his vintage collection - he leads others follow.

i was really dissappointed too that Selfridges stopped getting Cabourn - SS11 was the last collection they got in after buying it for 2 seasons. I got the medical shirt, work pocket jacket, hospital waistcoat and the Naval Parka all in 46 from the SS11 collection but when I rang to see what pieces they were getting in for AW11, I was told the buyer who loved Cabourn left and went to Mr Porter so stopped getting it.

Liberty store got Nigel's AW11 collection in but I dont know whether its got the SS12 in

Anyone know if the Surface jackets come up short?
Close to buying one but the XL length on the sleeve and shoulders seems incredibly short on the measurements.

Got any advice?
