Yeah Cosmo was amazing when we went a couple months back (spoke to loads of people and everyone seemed to be wanting to stay/thinking Cosmo was the place to be) Stayed at Aria on the way back, which was nice but not a patch on the Cosmo in terms of atmosphere.

Depends what you want though.. Cosmo definitly has the most going on/more lively bars, although its not as big/grand in terms of casino, shops, resteraunts etc compared to Bellagio/Venetian etc.

I've split up with my girlfriend and put our house up for sale. As some of you will know, I'm Northern (Newcastle) so I'm thinking of making the jump overseas or London in the near future. I've been informally offered a job in Qatar but I'm thinking of taking some risks before I do.

I'm thinking of going travelling around Asia - Cambodia/Vietnam/Thailand etc. Anyone got any particular sites or books that they would advise to assist planning my route? Obviously, I'd like to do it on the cheap to keep my deposit from the house and something different to the lifestyle that I will encounter in the Middle East.

I spent quite a lot of time in Bergen when working for a Norwegian company. It's really pretty, but quite small. There's probably not a week's worth of stuff to do in Bergen really.

There's a mountain that you can either walk up or take a cable car up. The views over the city are amazing. It's a nice city to wander about in too, some interesting architecture.

You can be into the countryside pretty quickly, but light can be an issue at that time of year. There's a ski resort about an hour and a half north called Voss.

Food and drink is really pricey, I remember having an 8 quid pint there a few years ago, although admittedly it came with a view over the harbour.

Bear in mind that it will be dark (and cold) in December. When I was working there in winter it was dark when I went into work, and dark when I came back. Probably getting light around 10:00, starting to get dark around 15:30.

What's the cost of holidaying in Croatia? Heading to Dubrovnik for a week and have no idea how much of the local currency to take.

When I went I spent about £10,000 a day so I'd budget for that…..to be honest though the Maldives are better so you could cancel and go there instead?

Heading to Thailand for 3 weeks in January/February with the GF.

Been a couple of times before (few years ago now) on a small budget, but looking for some tips for nice places to stay.
Will probably be heading to the more touristy areas of Phuket and surrounding Islands and Koh Samui unless anyone else has any tips.

Never stayed in the MO, but I went in for a mooch about. Don't stay there, especially for your first Vegas experience. I doubt it'll be what you're looking for. Seemed full of old cunts and business travellers. Cosmo or Bellagio with the missus.

Gets dark around 3pm and the sun comes up around 9:30am. So not much light. Will be snow covered and cold, like minus 10 / 15. Has a certain beauty something to be experienced, worth capturing on camera.

Costs the earth, but I guess you will be living for free at your friends?

Worth a trip, flights are around £80- 100 each way direct from Heathrow.

Friend of mine said Puerto Rico was one of the most beautiful countries he has been to, decent surf as well.

Great shout, Visa issues though, certain parts for Albanian citizens need a visa and not so easy. Most of the Crib dont need it, so bit limited.
