Anyone know much about Montenegro? Kotor or Budva specifically?

Been there before. Kotor is fantastic place, kind of a miniature and better located dubrovnik. Stayed in the Astoria hotel which I can highly recommend. Get a boat out one day and see some of the other smaller towns. Porto Montenegro also worth a visit, approx 1 hour away or less.

Budva center is nice but the beach areas surrounding can be a little bit like blackpool. Stayed in becici which is just up and about a 25 min walk into budva central. One very nice restaurant in becici called Aleksandre or similar. Excellent food, fantastic terrace and very cheap.

Can recommend a trip from either place to cetinjne the old capital for a day. Can get a bus there pretty easily.

Good place to visit, very picturesque and hardly any english people there. Predominantly eastern europeans and russians.

Here's the map my brother made when we went to Tokyo a few weeks ago:
https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=zjrfprkFmFP0.kYxRCkJYxAGc
It includes:
-Clothes shops
-Toy shops
-Game shops (+arcades)
-Museums
-Some cheap places to eat (Guard means it's a list from the Guardian)

This map is also useful (not ours). It has Shibuya/Harajuku denim shops in it.

Don't spend more than a couple of days in KL… Get yourself on an internal flight to Penang - George Town or Batu Ferringhi after…

KL is pretty cool but the novelty wears off after a few days and then the humidity just pisses you off.

I found a great article on KL with all the best places to check out from when I went in April. I'll see if I can dig it out.

I'm going to KL in Sept for 3 night before Bali. Any more tips would be appreciated.

Also, any Bali heads let me know the best things to cram in over 5 nights. Planning to stay in Seminyak for 3 nights and Ubud for 2 night. Should I reverse this?

That'd be wicked, nice 1

Unfortunately not an option to head elsewhere, there for 5 nights on a work thing

Stayed here in March, was handy out….5mins from Shinjuku station which can get you pretty much anywhere in Tokyo. Economy rooms were small enough but totally fine for 1 person, free wifi etc

would second what ricer says about sunroute plaza shinjuku I stayed there maybe 5 years ago the first 2 times I went and it was a good low price hotel, also nice as the shuttle from airport goes right there, easy to get train to harajuku/shibuya or a nice walk to get there through yoyogi park
