Sengiggi Beach.
Was over 10 years ago but the beaches were really nice and there's a lot to go and explore on motorbikes.
You can also do trips to Komodo from here if you fancy something a little further out.
Also an active volcano is nearby and good trek if you're fit enough.

Be aware this is a majority Muslim island and morning prayer can be annoying.
The upside is great food.
You'd have to look into how much it's changed in 10 years but the nightlife was ok too if you wanted it.

Time out food market in Lisbon is great! You can also take the train out along the coast to cascais which is pretty nice - we had some great sushi for lunch there (I forget the name of the place unfortunately). Santini for ice cream

The muslims were pretty strict when I was there so Ramadan would be a no I'd say.

I'm going Philippines in November and it has the best beaches in Asia imo.
August is typhoon season in most of the area I think but it's worth looking into if you're prepared to go that far.

What about Japan or South Korea?
Will be warm. Shopping then beaches, although beaches aren't the best if you like tropical types.

If it's just a beach holiday maybe India, Sri Lanka or Maldives.
Israel is great too. Tel Aviv has nice beach and great nightlife.

Looking for a short beach & pool holiday for me and my gf at the end of June, thinking Croatia or Montenegro as it's hotter than Spain/Portugal/France/Italy and haven't been before.

Where's good? Budget up to £700pp pw all inc I guess. Anywhere else we should be looking at (not Dubai)?

Anywhere in Croatia is the bollocks. Food, drink, culture, people etc. Would recommend Split as there's quite a bit to do if you get bored of the beaches. Also Zadar and Tisno are v nice, too.

Second Kotor Bay, really good and not expensive.

I was in Bali over Christmas themistake, stayed at this place in one of the suites - http://www.comohotels.com/comoshambhalaestate/accommodation/como-shambhala-suites - one of the nicest places I've stayed, short taxi in Ubud for any bars and dining etc. you want to do.

As for the beaches, we stayed on Nusa Dua at the St Regis as well and the beaches weren't amazing - nice white sand but the sea itself was a bit shit. I don't know if it was seasonal or what but the better beaches were further south out of Denpasar like Pandawa / Suluban, or make the trip over to Nusa Lembongan.

sweet cheers, was going to stay at the Hanging Gardens in Ubud actually…

Had a bit more of a look at planning stuff this week, got a rough route planned.
Seminyak (W hotel) for a few days, then up to Ubud - onto Gilli's and then back down to Ulawatu.
Going with a few lads and not a bird, so up for a bit of partying… any places along that route you went to?

cheers

Not so much a holiday, but work is sending me out to Gurgoan in India next month. Won't have much down time, but planning to spend a weekend in Delhi sightseeing. Any tips or suggestions for the trip- sights, markets, food, shopping etc? Cheers

Thanks for the suggestions.

Upon looking Croatia doesn't really do 'all inclusive' which I think we want as it's just a week of doing nothing.

Is everywhere in Majorca, Portugal, Canaries, Balerics going to be full of brits/german abroad types? Can't afford 5 star!

Alcudia or pollenca old town nice in Mallorca, We stayed in the medieval walled sections, nice restaurants. There are some really nice beaches a short drive which aren't touristy at all like this one (first beach on the link) When we visited in peak season there were only maybe 20 people on it. Just avoid main Alcudia to avoid the tattoos and england footy shirts.

Give Port d'Alcudia a very wide berth. Alcudia old town is nice as stoney says but isn't the beach destination you're looking for.

Porte de Pollença is much nicer, chilled, relaxed and very middle class at the northern end.

Do not even consider the mosquito-infested hellhole that is Playa de Muro.

Best place to find a 15+ person villa in Ibiza? Family friendly rather than drug fuelled blow out. Have checked air bnb but not sure what others are any good.
