Swerve Ao Nang in Krabi, bit of a shithole I thought.

Madarin oriental good in Bangkok. Go and eat at the Namsah Bottling Trust, v good not mega expensive. Tubkaak Beach resort in Krabi is great. Not much there though. Plenty of options if you have £££ to spend.

Recommendations for LA and surrounding areas? Heading out there next weekend for work but going a couple of days early to check out the city.

Hotels (on a bit of a tight budget around £100 a night)?

Bars? Restaurants?

Shops? Union, American Rag… Anywhere else I should check out?

Going to Zurich for about a week going to do a few days skiing plus the usually city tour.
Might head to another city for a few days - Bern, Lucerne?

Any must dos, places to eat, see etc? Literally done no homework.

Like with everywhere in Switzerland, it's all very nice but it's not very exciting.

There's a few art galleries in Lucerne I guess and the lake is a stunner. Def no more than a day trip though.

I've never been to Ibiza before. Is this a good location?

What is it a villa? Its not too far from ibiza town but I'd rather be closer to the sea, other than going to amnesia and ku I never really thought there was anything else round there, I could be wrong though

Staying at Casa Carolle?

I was there a few years back - location's good if you've got a car.

Cheers illwill

I stayed in a villa (Villa Maria) in San Rafael a good few years ago now. You'd be better off with a car. The bus does run passed there but forget trying to get it at night - it's full of either people coming from San An to Bossa or vice versa. You're only 5 mins drive from San An and 15 from Ibiza Town though.

Seems nice to visit, not necessarily to stay. But noted, cheers.

Daikenyama was a great area for a wander about, would be great to stay there I imagine.

On a side note, if you're buying a JR Pass, worth staying near a station on the Yamanote line (free travel included as part of your JR Pass).

Ebisu's really nice. Lots of bars and restaurants.

Also stayed in Shibuya and Ginza, Ebisu was the best.

Daikanyama is very nice, true, and could be reached walking from Ebisu, which is on the Yamanote Line…

Good friends came back from here recently and raved about it. You have to fly into tenerife and then get a ferry which is a ball ache but as i say, raved about it.
