The baths are great, there's usually a party at one on a Saturday. Was full of stags/hens when I went but still was decent craic.
Did a bike tour as well which was a godd way to see all the touristy shit, went with this company, the guy that took us was sound.

As said, Szimpla Kert is well worth a visit and the house of terror is also worth a visit too. Went over to fishermans bastion and the old town as well and took the touristy ferry around Margaret island. Great place Budapest.

Probably one of the best meals of my life. About £120 for 3 courses and a nice bottle of wine. Highly recommended!

If you want some fancy dining highly recommend The Yeatman https://www.the-yeatman-hotel.com/en/food/restaurant/. Try to grab a table by one of the set of french doors and you can watch the sunset over Porto

You can get compensation for anything over 3 hours.

Only ever done it once but was fully refunded for my flight that was over 24 hours. Had loads of 4/5/6 hour delayed and never bothered though.

it's EU law and there's law that means the airline has to be active in seeking you compensation if your flight is delayed more than 3 hours.
The airline should send you an email saying that you are entitled to compensation within 24 hours of you landing.
Even Ryanair are forward with getting you the compensation.
edit. oh yours was cancelled. umm no idea.

Just back from Porto. Good city. Did a Douro Valley wine tour if thats your thing. Some well rated ones on trip advisor that were decent.
All tips above are good (esp Kopke) if you want some port.
Manteigaria for Pastel De Nata (2 branches in town)
Tapisco is excellent northern portugese/northern spanish small plates
Came accross a place called Em Canto on R. Afonso Martins Alho 6, 4050-018 Porto, Portugal Would recommend. New and good food for lunches and nice for a drink.
Cantinho do Avillez comes highly recommended

Planning a short break in September where I just want to wander about in between drinking and eating good (cheap) food. Palma de Mallorca or Porto? And would really appreciate recs for best places to stay in either. Cheers!
Edit: Very quickly narrowed this down to Porto as Portugal really is just stupidly cheap, grateful for any advice on where to stay though.
