Could anyone recommend any decent stores to check out in HK please. I know of Juice, Hoods HK, Silly Thing…. but haven't been there for over 10 years so anything else worth a look?

There used to be a Bape Pirate store in the CityGate outlets which can be pretty decent but that was 5-6 years ago now so not sure if it's still there

X2 on this. I’m booking to go in May. 3 nights. Keen to hear what’s worth doing!

Tel Aviv always great, loads of great bars and joints to frequent. Stayed by the (old) US Embassy.

Kuli Alma, Mondo 2000, Shpagat, Spicehaus, Imperial, The Block… loads of places… plus a new art gallery just opened not too long ago.

Istanbul I’ve been to quite a few times, but 3-4 days more than enough unless you’re staying the other side of the Bosphorus too. Recommend staying at the Four Seasons in Sultanahmet - great hotel and rooftop bar.

Apparently the new airport is a bit way out than the Ataturk one used to be but I believe it’s one of the biggest in the world now?

Recommendations for Marrakech? Got a 3 day break in August and I’m thinking of just booking a Riad for accom - there’s 7 of us.

We had 16 of us go out there for Oasis festival (shit). Absolutely loved the city, we rented our own private Riad which had a private cook / concierge etc. was well worth it. Stayed 10mins walk south from Riad Laarousse which was central to everything.

Le Jardin for evening food
Nomad for day food
Cafe Árabe for alcoholic / day drinking
Beldi Country Club I couldn't recommend enough. Take a day out from the city to just lay by the pool and sunbathe / eat / drink and walk around all of their gardens. Think it's about ~£40 for the use of the pool and you get a few drinks thrown in. Food is decent there too.

^ also add Grande Cafe De La Poste, Azhar, Al Fassia and Cafe Clock (try their date milkshake if you can)

There’s also a great place for nice ‘western’ food, like burgers and stuff but I’ll look for it and post it if I find it.

Edit: Azhar - their chicken pastiche and roasted lamb shoulder is amazing - all with live string musics instruments playing in the background.

Going through all these, I think I might go back over with the missus next month!

Ps - I’m off to Barcelona again next Wednesday - if anyone knows anywhere to try? I’ve been twice already but anywhere new would be appreciated.

Went about 6 months ago, check out Comptoir Darna for a upscale place in the new town, belly dancing shows etc makes it really popular so you’ll have to book in advance.

+2 for Cafe Arabe.
Nomad was decent and nice at night as it’s a rooftop restaurant.
Didn’t rate Le Jardin.
Naranj was a really nice Lebanese type restaurant.

Jamaal el fna square is crazy busy in the eve and worth checking out in the Médina, you can’t miss it.
Snake charmers, monkeys and all sorts going on there.
