I just got stung for a couple of hundred quid by airbnb, we were going to roadtrip america with a number of stops due to their free cancellation pollicy, turns out airbnb's cancellation policy is only free for 3 bookings in 12 month period, you lose the service fee for any other ones
My fault i suppose for not reading the small print enough

Not been for a while but would recommend Refuge for food, music and drinks. They've also moved the concept to Freight Island which is an outdoor affair - DJs etc. Rudy's Pizza is decent, as is Honest Crust in the Mackie Mayor food hall.
Northern Quarter is good for multiple bars - Cane & Grain, Liar's, Dusk, Soup Kitchen etc etc.

Depends what you want to spend really. Treehouse in Mayfair is decent. New nobu hotel meant to be nice too but will be £££
Ruby Lucy in Waterloo might be a shout too. Stayed in one of their Vienna properties and was nice. Work with Yotel And their fit out it is incredible standard. New place in clerkenwell open now. The Londoner will certainly be nice. Nomad London might be open now too. Their NYC properties are great.

Wapping wharf is worth a visit, plenty of nice places to eat Root being one.
If you're into beers and pizza head to the left handed giant brewpub.
Plenty of nice places on North street worth checking too.

Cyprus is looking good as single flights for everyone. I've not been since early 2000s.
Which areas are ok now? Has anyone been recently? Looking for an easy meet up location for family / friends with me being locked out of UK.
I went to Paphos 2 years ago. It was nice and exactly as expected to be honest. Hot, nice beaches. Food was good and good value, especially in the tavernas away from the main drag. Main drag can be a bit brits abroad in places but was nothing like similar sized resorts in Spain etc and is easily avoided if you want. Would go back.
Flights cheap and once I’ve hit green light for actual travel Airbnb have a good cancellation option pretty much up to a week before you leave.

Any new/cool hotels in London? Heading down for a few nights in July. Wanting to stay somewhere fairly central.
