Anyone travelled to Sweden recently? Or know what I need to for a 4 day trip to an Amber country if I am double vaccinated?

You need to double-check the specific countries entry requirements, but expect your NHS vaccination certificate (via the app) and a negative PCR test within 72/58 hours prior to flying will be the requirement.

Has anyone been to Portugal recently?

Plus a pre-departure PCR test 3 days before flying back from Sweden to the UK and another PCR test within 2 days upon arrival in the UK.

For pre-departure PCR test within the UK can recommend Boots, if your local high street one offers it. They take the swab for you and send it off. While they (and all the others) do not guarantee a result within 72 hours, it takes the stress out having to post it or rely on a courier. For reference, my Missus got her results within 48 hours from having the test. Also you need to make sure the 72 hour test window is from your departure time. Read nightmare stories of people being turned away because the time of their tests were 30 minutes over the 72 hour mark from their departure time.

If the airport you fly from does a fast track test within 4 hours, that's always an option providing you wish to travel to the airport that early.

Having said all that, having seen a PCR test certificate, I don't blame a guy like Fudge to forge one Laughing out loud

Ta.

they won't let you in from the uk without swedish passport or some sort of business exemption. you won't need any tests to fly over there though. on the way back you will need pre-depature lat flow (I used qured) and a day 2 pcr when you return (I used randox)

I'm going for a funeral, which will be the exemption.

No worries. It'll be nice to see relatives and be back in Stockholm for some Fika. If we get past the border! We have a family tree ready to go and will get a letter from the church.

We spent all day sunday looking for somewhere decent and there was fuck all in the algarve/outer lisbon that didn't cost a fucking fortune. Ended up booking a malaga flight and going slightly inland to Viñuela.

Looked there and did look good but it was fully booked for when we wanted to go(this saturday). Also the pool was tiny and it was a bit of a blessing as we werent keen on being in a proper city.

I flew out Friday from UK, did a lat flow anti gen test (not PCR) at home as that's the minimum that's required to enter. Was £28 from chromatics. Came in the post 2 full days before flying, although original shipping date was supposed to have come a day earlier. I booked an anti gen at a Boots in store as a back up in case it didn't turn up as it's free cancellation there but twice the price plus hassle of going to the nearest branch that does the tests.

The anti gen test you log on the chromatics website to get your pdf certificate.

Flying back Friday. Booked the return anti gen test for Weds at a Unilabs pharmacy today no probs, €25. National chain, plenty of availability in Porto.

Then to return to UK have to fill out a passenger locator form and have day 2 PCR home test booked as have had both jabs. Not been a bad experience overall so far. Testing all in going to be £100.
