Check first if you plan using a Randox drop box. I ended up posting in the end, but the PO won't take tests and gave me a prepaid Special Delivery stamp but it took ages to get them to agree. The Drop Boxes were a minimum 2 hour round trip from me.

Yeah I’ve checked and we can pretty much go past one on the way back from the airport and can make the last collection of the day all being well.

Don’t suppose anyone knows if Denmark are likely to shut their borders within the next couple of weeks do they? Roll Eyes

Missus did her pre-departure and Day 2 PCRs at Boots. While I've just had my Day 2 PCR with Boots. Both of us had no issues at all.

I know they’ve reintroduced masks etc in shops from today… they do tend to err on the side of caution but I don’t expect them to shut down their borders again.

Apologies, should've clarified, pre-departure was in store. Day 2s were sent to us in the post and returned to them via one of those Royal Mail "Priority Mail" postboxes.

Do you only need pre-departure if you haven't been fully vaxxed?

Depends on which country. Portugal from Dec 1 need pre departure even if you’ve had the clot shot.

pcr pre-departure? you'll need to go visit somewhere in person now… can't guarantee you'll get an "at home" kit arrive in time

Stayed at Holbox island, nice place. Are you visiting Mexico city at all? Such a great city and worth a stop

Yeah we’re heading to Holbox, looks ideal.

Hoping we’ll have time for Mexico City as it looks like it’d be fun.

Flying to cancun and stopping by Tulum, Holbox, playa del carmen to name a few

Can be antigen, so should be just about ok timewise, but dead confused about where I have to get one. I haven't been abroad since last March so this is all very new to me.

Apparently it can't be an NHS one, and has to be on this list:

https://ec.europa.eu/health/sites/default/files/preparedness_response/docs/covid-19_rat_common-list_en.pdf

Edit: So I know that Randox are now doing 60 min antigen tests for £35 in Stansted, but my flight is like 9:25am and I feel like with 60 hours until my flight I should be able to sort a test somewhere in North London before then (anywhere around Islington, Dalston, Hackney) and maybe even cheaper? But I've not go idea, if anyone knows any better would be very grateful.

Final edit: If anyone else is wondering this, my mate has recommended this site that he's used - says it's the cheapest he found and works fine: https://www.c19testing.co.uk/

I see Labour pushing for even MORE testing…pre departure plus a day 8 too.

Gotta love this controlled opposition.

We’ve free-fallen into a bio-security surveillance state in 18 months.

Fucks sake can anyone help me. Not had corona and fully boostered up so not really sure about it all. PCR is the one you take and send to a lab for result? Lateral flow you take and it gives you the result instantly? It says now for coming into the UK you need one of these prior to entry. I’m assuming the LF one is much easier?

LF is the instant (30 mins) one.

Okay but then how do you show them at the airport in the UK? It I take it in Sweden 48 hours prior to departure I don’t bring the test with me right ? Laughing out loud
