Any suggestions for a European transfers, pool and beach type holiday? Will probably end up just lounging most of the time but want the option of things of interest (history, parks and non-hotel restaurants) nearby.
Tel Aviv or Dubrovnik perhaps?

Tel Aviv is great.. city and beach with lots of local stuff to see…
Best short hop city and beach for me is Lisbon.

Have done Lisbon as a city break and agree it was excellent, not sure the beach areas are that close though (or vice versa)

What hotel did you stay at Zoom, and what time of year did you go?
Looking to do a week there later this year as well and want sunbed weather.

Lisbon is great, also Barcelona, Palma Mallorca, and Zadar as a left-field pick in Croatia (rocky beach tho)

Short taxi ride across the bridge and you have miles of beach!

Have you been to Sardinia? Great beaches, plenty of history.

Failing those, Tel Aviv is amazing. Friendly locals, amazing beach right opposite the strip where most of the hotels are and markets/history for days… and an hour or so drive to Jerusalem…. Check out the Wailing Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre… forget the Islamic sites, they won’t let you in.
