Most countries have messed up ethics or shady histories, we just choose to ignore them. The UK or USA went to war and invaded Afganistan etc on false intel about WMDs, doesn't stop the millions of tourists going there

Looking to do something long haul. At the moment the winner is Portland, Seattle - Honolulu and back but the flights are brutal and putting me off as would be with the baby!
Also looking at Central America but COVID uncertainties putting me off…
Anyone done something similar? Moving jobs soon and I have a month in between ending one and starting at the next. Keen to use the time to travel with the mrs and baby (6 months old). Any tips on good itineraries?
RIP to anyone flying with you and the baby
I did the west coast classic, muscle car top down (LA > San Fran > Portland > Seattle > Vancouver). It rains a LOT in the Pacific Northwest, so if you're happy with that, then it's a great hol.

Sorry but does this global community include Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, Syria, Egypt, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria, Iraq, Bangladesh, UAE, and so on?
THAT global community?
Remind me which is the only democracy in the Middle East?
Remind me which country in the Middle East where minorities can openly practice their religion without fear of retribution?
Remind me which countries in the Middle East have a Pride event every year?
I’ll wait.

I heard someone on the radio this week say they turned up for their flight 3 hours before schedule and still missed it

Also I love the el Born neighbourhood- if you're wandering around there then Candela for great food in a peaceful square
But we’re not continually engaged in what is effectively apartheid are we? Yes the U.K. and other countries continually make mistakes and bad foreign policy choices but the State of Israel and the powers that be continue to do so despite pretty much widespread condemnation by the global community.
Yeah it’s weird, I’d spent the past 25 years or so of my life meticulously doing my recycling at home in the UK and now in Tel-Aviv is pretty impossible to do this from our flat or when out and about as well (they just don’t have the infrastructure or systems or culture in place yet). So I came to a change of mindset to not actually give a fuck about it anymore and concentrate on doing what makes me happy in life, which wouldn’t include going on holiday to Palestine to help their economy instead. No sarcasm intended. Who buys a new iPhone and knows for sure all of the components weren’t made by children or slave like working conditions? Israel vs Palestine isn’t a debate I’m going to get into, I’m just on this planet for a good time, and Tel-Aviv is where it’s at for now

Any bar/restaurant recommendations for Barcelona? Would love a decent Tapas spot. Also, has anyone flown out of Manchester recently? Is the madness as bad as they say?
