Old before my time.

Get fucked.

I'm 47 and stuck in a dead end job, casual. Can't even get a permanent contract. STill most I've ever made, can live on my own at least, mostly lived in share houses my whole life which I always hated. Waiting for my parents to die so I can buy a property. Their fucking generation lives forever though and I prolly won't inherit until I'm past 70. A lot of people including my dad thought I woulda offed myself by now but thought never crossed my mind, I'm stronger than most people I noticed. Most people stub their toe these days and go on anti depressants.

Spend less on clothes, because I have a pretty deep collection and find I already have most things covered. Spend on other hobbies like wargames and music

Apparently holding your phone with your left hand and typing text messages with just the index finger on your right hand means I'm an absolute dinosaur according to the 20 something bairns at work who have never heard of 90% of the movies or bands I talk about

No case, no screen protectors or any of that shit (another thing I get rinsed for by the work fam).

I'm 32, and I would count that as dinosaur-like behaviour

Not disputing it, just think it's a generational thing - if I want to speak to someone I ring them rather than spending half my day firing messages backwards and forwards all day long so don't need to type at light speed. Quite partial to the odd meme though.

I had 3 weeks off the booze with more training and healthy eating. Probably been more tired than ever.

The ended up hitting a 7 pinter on a school night and could barely make it into the office the next day. Slept like a baby since though. I turn 32 in Sept. There seems to be no science behind which mornings I will feel good or bad after drinking these days.

Worse being out of practice, definitely. I find not drinking all week then Friday after work creates the worst (aside from proper big sessions).

I’m 33. I think having kids keeps you young. You need to be to keep them entertained. 11,7 and 2. And plans for another in May/June 2021. Also being one of the youngest Dads at the school with an 11 year old helps I think.

Me and the Mrs went out for probably the 3rd time alone in 3 years last week and it was shite. We enjoyed the time together but missed the kids like mad. Seeing me mates once a month for a few pints is sound for me now with the odd big night through the year.
