Thought Orslow could do with it's own thread. Feel free to slag me off, ridicule or whatever else floats your boat Smiling
I'm looking at buying some Orslow denim. Anyone had any? How does quality compare to say Iron Heart, Samurai, Skull etc?
Looking at the 107 or 105. Like the look of both but the 105 measurements look pretty big.

orslow denim is great, but its nothing like the brands you mention above, so if you are looking for that kind of denim I would go for one of those brands.

orslow slim fit is nice, by no means skinny but a good slim fit, the washes are also decent and the denim is comfy from the off

107 are near skinny fit, esp around the thighs so size up or go for 105s if you have thunder thighs

Thanks both. I saw the fit pic for the 107 on the Peggs & Sons site and have been a bit put off. Dunno if the fella sized down on his but I don't like the fit at all.

I already have a pair of slimmish Iron Heart 555-01 waiting so maybe the 105 will be more for me. Just don't want Hammer pants…

I think they've just picked a stump for a model with those

I have two pairs of the 107s and the Cargo trousers. I think they are based on the 501. They have faired well with around a years worth of constant use and are the only pairs that fit me properly. Trouble is that they are rarely on sale. Eyeing up the cords next.

i went for some 107's recently but got em used just in case. The fit was very skinny and had to get rid, might look into 105's

I've never seen 107s fit like that Peggs^
107 is based on a 1960s Levi's 505. So, similar to LVC 1967 505, but slightly more tapered.

@Hanto I've got the 6 Pocket Cargos in a size 4 and they're a good fit but have a fair bit of room in the thigh. Have the Fatigues too in a 4. Perfect fit but a fair bit slimmer through the leg. How do the 107s fit compared to the cargos?

I've got a few wool pieces and very impressed.

The wool pants in particular are thicker than my browns beach jacket.

Laughing out loud Not been back to Brighton for a bit but doubt everyone's looking like that. Who the fuck is gonna be inspired to buy anything the fella's wearing in that shot? Jesus wept.

Sounds more like the fatigues. I have all mine in a 5 and the jeans are slightly more fitted in the thigh, but I prefer the taper to the 105s.

What is the big different between orslow and other Japanese denim brand? Except for the more modern fits

I would say that orslow are not specifically a denim brand, though that might be what they are known for outside of jp, the above mentioned jp denim brands focus much more heavily on denim as a material specifically in raw denim and often in very heavy weights (some with a motorcycle focus some not) I just don't think the products beyond being 5 pocket jeans are really that comparable.

If I was weighing up similar product it would be more like visvim denim vs orslow denim or LVC or RRL etc thats the group I would place them with.

Anyone know if the vintage fit stuff was a one-off for last season or if it will continue?

Ok, I always thought of them as a good mix between Japanese denim brands and brands like visvim or kapital.
I like their stuff but never handled it in person

Nice one, I picked up the vintage fit chambray work shirt in the sales and really like the sizing so I'm glad it's going to continue.
