But you'll cop it in the sale? I think it's nice in and of itself, though I wouldn't be seen dead in it. Too Eddie Izzard.
Not sure how you can say the collection generally is disappointing, it's just a load of boring gear in weird fabrics, like every season. Which works for me actually.
The only issue I have is how they've moved on from detail, earthy colours/textures and references to traditional clothing and instead gone down the fashion route. I feel like it's not really aimed at me anymore. I suppose it was always going to be tricky going somewhere else after everyone and his dog started humping the 'heritage menswear' boom.
Tres Bien has gone to shit accordingly, for me at least. I personally don't want to dress like a fashion student.

aw14 shirting is good, but nothing that gives me that 'i must have it' feeling. my favourite is 1950s vegetable blue i think.

as for the knitwear i only really like the snow grey roundneck knit, those vneck or heavy ct cardigan knits are total shit. i'd love to see some loose fitting knits.

Feeling those too but agree, it's a lot of recycled ideas done over and over. I don't complain though. They're striking a good balance between everyday wear and more fashion-forward stuff (which isn't that out there really) which suits me. Also, I can't think of any other brand in the same price point experimenting with fabrics as they do and that's certainly commendable. The wrinkled wool and the 'tear indigo' ones look amazing (both up on caliroots now).
Personally I'm enjoying this season after a disappointing SS14 one. Still, not half as strong as Carmine Tonic from a couple of winters ago. That was really good.
