And I was doing that to myself daily whenever it was mentioned before.

How about this…and it might really backfire on me. If you do a dedicated ‘natty‘ thread….then I will buy a bottle….and try the stuff….

Opened one of these last night. Riceys is the only village in champagne where it’s permitted to produce still wines. This came with an order of rosé Pinot noir, Pinot Blanc champagne and a Solera champagne of all 7 grape varieties. This rouge has a lot in common with a gevrey chambertain but a little lighter with a more mineral flavour. If I had to drink one wine for the rest of my life it’d be this.

A few recent..

Two great budget options. A super juicy Tempranillo blend from Penedes and biodynamic Reisling from Oestrich- this is the Jakobus cuvée but I prefer the Rheinschiffer, less sweetness and more mineral.


Then there’s this- looks like I’ll be getting through 48 bottles myself now he’s a confirmed sex pest. It’s so good that I’m really ok with that.

It’s a bit aggy on first pass but that soon disappears- I’m a sucker for how briny this is, it smells like fresh oysters.
