Always liked the prada creepers. Seems this seasons they're more widely available? only saying cos they're in birmingham selfridges and not seem them previous seasons. And they're £650 which is £100 more than last year? Would love a pair if they go in sales this time round.

if you're looking for a coverall/mechanics jacket theres SO much better available in Japan imo. I would look at stuff like M&M first, for example this jacket looks so much better than the NBHD one posted:

if it's fur then perhaps, but how expensive can cow skin be ?
as for production, I doubt it takes anyone more than a day to make a jacket unless it's made to measure and they are sewing it all by hand
Unless all jackets are currently costing 2K I don't know what inflation has got to do with it
you're paying for the hype name, there is no need to come up with "valid" reasons for the price tag.

$500 is reasonable for a jacket, $2,000 isn't (IMO)

even if it's premium leather or fur, adjusted to inflation and cost of materials as well as production?

The department store introduced a range of 'platform' shoes for men in response to consumer demand. But even they were surprised when the heels leapt to the top of the bestseller list in the menswear department.
J Jeans by Jasper Conran's male heels look like your classic brogue and are also available as boots, prices start at £80.
The heel is not obvious but allows the wearer to subtly boost their height while still being on trend.
Debenhams launched shoes that are half an inch taller than the average men's heel last week - and sales have outstripped expectations by 85 per cent.
