Good question, this! Best quality and fit I've tried so far have been Sunspel (bit long in body but that suits me) and Garbstore. Garbstore tees (the plain ones) are bloody fantastic: great fit, well constructed, heavyweight cotton. Not thin enough for loads of layers but perfect otherwise. Wouldn't pay RRP though, check sales and t'bay.
