I can't see one in the search.

There should be a thread for Politics and with the Labour Party conference in Brighton at the moment now seems an ideal time to make a thread. Considered by many as Gordon Brown's final chance to mount a case for himself to stay Prime Minister.

Personally I am not a huge fan of Gordon Brown, but do like Labour and what they stand for, especially Foreign Secretary Miliband (no homo). The man is intelligent and talks sense.

Barack Obama?
War?
Iran?
Oil?
Gas?
Domestic issues?

Anything to do with Politics post it in here.

personally im a huge fan of the conservative party and hope to represent them some today (no sleaze linking back to this place some day)

barack obama = alright
war = neccesary - saddam could well have has wmd + was a cunt
oil = something we should attempt to access by all means neccesary, crucial to economic growth

domestic = NHS privatised/ global warming is a load of tosh - most people dont even know why the sea levels will rise thus everyone arguing for it dont know why making it a stupid argument

may as well join in as gotta stay up for a while:

david cameron irks me for some reason that i cant put my finger on. he doesnt appear to have actually stated what polocies he is actually running with.

gordon just got stuck with alot of shit that would have happened whoever the prime minister at the time was.
was a good chancellor though.

nick clegg appears to be a little pillock. rather have vince cable running tings over that side.

oh also i dislike all the current political creed - cameron is purely interested in popular politics

i had lunch with vince cable and hes a little weird but hes a very very intelligent man, probably the only mainstream politician i respect

Labour/Lib Dem/Cons are all too centerist. Do they actually disagree on anything? All they do is try and 'score points' against each other on whatever sleaze issue pops up while all being part of a rotten system.

I reckon this thread will go off the rails with arguments soon anyway so thought I would get in early Eye-wink

bit of a neo-con are we?

nope due to one important issue

im actually very liberal - same sex marriage + adoption/ right to die etc

im just a bit nationalist ( not the bad kind - the good kind i.e. for greek independence kind (ive read books on it)

I didn't realise adoption was such a controversial issue. Have I missed something about Greece?

argh wrote more to that post but it's vanished. anyway IMO war wasn't necessary. there were NO wmd's. yes he was a cunt but a lot of countries are run by cunts. Oil is gonna run out one day. do you want them to destroy Alaska to get to the last few drops? and the vast majority of scientists all seem to agree that global warming isn't "a load of tosh". what makes you think that?

NHS waiting lists could be abolished by shutting down the health service, thereby eradicating poor people and eliminating poverty.
