I’m watching the parliament debate live. Reese mogg is a fucking idiot. I used to think he was a funny eccentric. He is a dangerous far right nut job.

^ as opposed to the dangerous far-left nut jobs just clamouring to get their hands on the reins of power.

Whatever you think of JRM, he hasn’t been friends with every hostile, commie, Western-hating regime thats existed in modern times.

From the Soviet Union to IRA to Hezbollah to Hamas to Castro to Maduro.

The answer to the charge is JRM is NOT right wing so the original statement is in itself false.

Now tell me Corbyn et al aren’t hard left wing.

JRM IS a right wing populist. I can capitalise words too.

Corbyn is left wing, so?

Fascinating watching this unfold. JRM epitomises everything that is wrong with not only Politics but the class system in this country.

His absolute disdain for the neurologist who was consulted on, and warned of the potential dire perils of, a no deal Brexit, only to then accuse him of fearmongering was as scandalous as it was misguided.

Did Boris & JRM geniunely believe threatening to remove the whip & effectively expel rebel Conservatives would strongarm them? Incredible they would get it so wrong. Anyone with any sense knows Boris is an absolute blagger but surely not THAT stupid? Absolute turmoil.

Not one of the predictions of VOTING to leave has come to fruition, including all the dire warning by Mark Carney.

All these institutions are so politicised it’s unreal.

Don’t act stupid.

Socialist basket case policies that try to equalise everything without realising that people can never be equal.

The thirst for power and control is too much.

For someone who's so rattled by it, I don't think you have a very good grasp on what socialism is.

What are you on about FD, JC is an absolute gift for the Tories. He's a fucking brexiteer for god's sake. A savvier opposition leader would have made mincemeat out of this shower-of-shit Conservative government and the one before, regardless of his or her immovable convictions. The only card Johnson has for forcing through a potentially calamitous no deal that only a fraction of the population want, cynics and numbskulls mostly, is that a Corbyn government would be worse. That is the essential calculation for the general election he clearly wants.

You seem to assume that everyone who questions you is an uninformed lefty mug and all it does it is reveal how tribal your thinking is. "Venezuela", get a grip.

Socialism in the form of Venezuela doesn't work for obvious reasons. Socialism in the form of the Scandanavian countries does work. They are regularly voted in the top 10 countries in the world to live and work in and quality of life indexes for example. The fearmongering around socialism is ridiculous. Yes Communist socialism doesn't work but modern socialism is alive and well and makes for a much happier society.

Probably because he's very confused.
