Saddens me to say it but Bernie would have lost. Hopefully Biden will select him in for the cabinet.

I don't buy it, Bernie had a lot more diverse support than Biden and he ran on actual policies, especially medicare for all which is incredible popular. In fact, every democrat who ran on M4A won/kept their seat

imo there is 0% chance of Bernie being in his cabinet, even before the election dems proposed that no sitting senators would be part of his cabinet, as a way of keeping progressives out.

Word to that^
biking around and you can see what it would be like if the US won the World Cup. it's jubilation all around. pretty fucking cool to see.
a small part of me is saying, you're losing your shit in such a good way for the opportunity to have Biden in? smh. but then I realize, yeah, just allow this please. we'll deal with that later. right now it's about celebrating to say fuck off you fucking cunt.
allow this moment of joy, but we must keep the pressure on. as gawkrodger's avatar says, the vote will not change anything, the struggle continues.

That’s exactly it
I didn’t get the commotion as Biden is so vanilla and I doubt anyone actually thinks he’ll make a good Prez
But I guess they’re just celebrating against Trump

Don't get me wrong Bernie's the man but I wonder if America would have accepted a more socialist approach. In any case good to see the Orange one out.

America would never elect Bernie. To give him the nod would have guaranteed trump. I know people like to say demographics are changing and the boomers are dying off but they’re mad if they think that means a proper left wing politician gets in

This is all conjecture but in all likelihood, despite how popular he was and despite him being a perfect man he probably wouldn’t have won- then again covid completely changed the landscape and is probably a big driver behind the dem victory. But it’s nice to see everyone out in NY honking their car horns before they either drop dead of coronavirus or live to see the looming resultant economic crisis.

You can blame the mainstream media for that, he had no chance without their support

Bernie - "We need to revolutionise the medical system"

The Media - "Bernie Sanders is going to turn America into a country of socialism"

… A couple of weeks later …

Thousands of people are dying due to the bad medical systems.

The Media - "What is wrong with our society, our medical system should be better".

If we can't get a socialist over here, there's no chance of in America.

Yet again I'll point to modern socialist countries such as Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland and Finland. Seem to be pretty happy with their lot in life.
