I'm very lucky to live near this place www.newhambooks.co.uk

If you're central in London worth supporting Housmans www.housmans.com , discount if you're a union member too.

Don't know why they call it 'cronyism', like that makes it sound somewhat acceptable. It's just straight up corruption.

A quick way to lose friends. Ask them to cross out the ones they believe in.

Rez wrote: Keir Starmer is useless, no vision during covid at all and has relied on the conservatives doing badly and it all being revealed in an enquiry years later.

As head of the dpp/cps, starmer has buried plenty of enquiries himself (the killing of Charles de Menezes for one) so God knows why he thought this approach would work (not to mention the efficacy of this strategy relies on more people dying).

He's believed the press' puffing him up for some reason. He'll soon find out they're only congratulating him for punching to the left of his party.

Closer to the next election we'll see the same people in the press saying he's not for for office as he allowed Worboys to go free (a personal issue for the conservative press and Johnson, as Worboys attacked Carrie Symonds).

See they're saving the Warboys stuff for closer to the election, Savile and Rochdale stuff becoming more and more prevalent on FB, interesting/frightening to see a smear like this taking hold in real time.

Although it is really amazing seeing the press have such a fit over the savile accusations last week, they really do seem outraged, think they're appalled that the monster they've created can no longer be controlled/directed at only the people they don't like/might have blowback for them too Laughing out loud

Would love to know what the alternative news lot thinks about the current situation.

Tucker Carlson has been on defending Putin so I'm sure there's a hot take that the mainstream media lot are missing.

Fudge & Sayword, let's hear it then?

Awful situation. Was out in Kyiv a few times and it's a wonderful city. Fuck knows where this is all headed.

Had a guy I know call on a group chat, from Kyiv who worked in the embassy, on the roof of his house with a rifle and grenades, saying to probably expect this to be the last call from him.

Situations fucked.

With Moldova and Lithuiana declaring states of emergencies I only fear for the worst.

Worried it'll give other countries the excuse to go in and invade, China Taiwan? Pakistan India? The Pakistani leader flew into Moscow yesterday to meet Putin and was heard saying 'what an exciting time to come, its brilliant' when leaving the airport terminal

All those years of funding and interfering in elections begins to pay off for the Russians. Can't think of a more compromised govt. than we have right now. Johnson been living off Russian money for years.

Yeah, that's my feeling. Will be over before it began. Champions League will go ahead etc

Outrageous that we don't have any decision-making power anymore. US and EU are by far the biggest powerhouses for sanctions now and my feeling is the EU won't risk the oil and gas supply. Whether the UK being part of the EU would have made a difference doesn't really matter anymore. The fact is we haven't got a voice and that was arguably the plan all along.

Would love to know what they have over Boris. Hard to know really what would embarrass him much considering the joke he's already become.

American bio labs being destroyed. Putin already said they’re engaging in a military operation.

Google American bio labs in Ukraine.

This isn’t an invasion. Whatsoever.
