duff: i'd be very surprised if ENIC put money into it. your wouldnt have gone for the government money or been so keen on a rented stadium if they were willing to front money for the project.

btw, not a single member of the arsenal board put a single penny into our stadium.
and to put things further into perspective, i own more of arsenal than 80% of the board.

Pick one bit of bullshit from my post. I ask you to name one thing that's not true. Please.

themistake wrote: But Liverpools plan has fallen flat less than 18months after it started. Adidas has already stated Liverpool aren't a good investment. Big money signings don't guarantee income.

Liverpool have the joint highest shirt sponsorship deal in the premier league http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-10952714 and this year secured, globally, the second highest kit sponsorship earning more than double what they did with Adidas http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/9024630/Liverpool-announce-new-150m-kit-deal-after-Adidas-row.html . Though this is because they still sell a ton of shirts globally and not because you can now get Henderson put on the back of one of them.

I expect ENIC would be willing to invest money into the stadium build if they had good assurances of securing a buyer for the football club once it is finished - which has been their plan all along.

I'm sure Hazard is attracted to playing for Tottenham. When he learns our our wage ceiling not so much.

nice bit of PR spin there from liverpool.
that shirt deal was announced nearly a year ago, before adidas decided to announce to the world that they were a bad investment.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1379466/Liverpools-mammoth-25m-year-Warrior-kit-deal-rewrites-record-books.html

liverpools business plan is based on commercial revenue.

they cant compete on match day revenue. they have no corporate/premium seats etc was down £6m in last years accounts,
and on last years books, commercial revenue was down £6m, nearly 10%.

nice comment about henderson.
he still cost £20m, and carroll still cost £35m. so they are spending big, thats their business model. shame they are choosing to spend it on these players.

Not convinced mind. We've never ever had black on our home kits. If you removed the white from the sleeves it'd be akin to a Utd top.

Feeling confident for this eve.

Which would make slightly more sense (navy), but reckon it's just an early prototype. Recall early pics of our away 09/10 shirt being dark green.

R- seriously there is going to be speculation all the way to june. Let's leave it. its nothing he hasnt said already about joining arsenal http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1339286/Lille-winger-Eden-Hazard-says-ready-shun-Real-Madrid-flourish-Arsenal.html and im sure hes said it about RM and barca too.

But out of interest. You do know where he plays don't you?

Laughing out loud he wants a move in summer and is talking the talk. Would love him at city though, he wouldn't be crowded out either, we need a quick winger. If he goes to spurs we'll take monkey boy Cool

I have no Arsenal/Tottenham bias whatsoever, but I would be absolutely amazed if the hottest property in football (aside from Neymar who is already spoken for anyway) moves to Spurs.

said he'll move to england….can't be too far down the pecking order for young players who want to play attacking football that suits them. reckon it will be us or utd.

The thing is, he's expensive enough that clubs need to consider whether he's worth it for their financial fair play, so not quite as simple as saying City will just snap him up.

It was tongue in cheek, I don't think or want city to sign Bale. It's all bullshit at this point in the season anyway
