Still buzzing from yesterday. What a result and defensive performance from the Villa boys. Benteke, Vlaar still to come in.

What the hell is Redknapp being paid for if it's all Hoddle's fault they're getting beat?

Arry wont take the a lot of the training session might just pass tru on them, was told last season he passed through some of them for just 10 mins.

But yeah, fantastic attacking performance from United. Still unconvincing at the back, too many loose passes that would've been converted had it not been for De Gea. Put Costa, Aguero or Welbeck on those chances and they will convert.

Yes defence still shaky, and few instances where both centre backs dribbled all the way past half the pitch, for fuck knows why

QPR must be the laziest team in the Prem, zero pressing from them today just never seemed up for it

Laughing out loud

@GaryLineker: Manchester United looking good but will face tougher opposition than QPR….such as the Dog and Duck!

Di Maria reminds me of Ronaldo when he played for United. Carries the ball at pace and turns defences around. He's not going to be as prolific but exciting to have somebody who genuinely looks a cut above the rest (in the 2 appearances to date I will add). Rooney showcased his passing ability, he's far better suited a bit deeper as he can't play on the shoulder of a player or go past a man but his passing is decent. United now need to craft a strong starting XI from that squad, this is something Chelsea have as do City. Blackett looks a talent at the back. Mistakes in him but can see a style similar to Rio about his game. If United can get an established starting XI then I'd put them above Arsenal and Liverpool at the end of the season

Inevitable but once Harry's plan A was scuppered there was no plan B - we really rolled over and just played damage limitation football. Shite really.

Still, Old Trafford certainly isn't the home banker it once was and the intimidating atmosphere which used to be so apparent is long gone if today's experience is par for the course. Better teams than us (of which there are many!) will go there and trouble United this Season.
