Townsend man of the match is utterly ridiculous. I'm sure he excites 13-year-old boys who play FIFA, but 78 off target shots per game does nothing for me. Mason completely outshone all of our midfielders. Terrible performance.

We get dicked on Saturday. No other outcome is possible. Levy's transfer policy has come home to roost. Fucking useless the lot of 'em.

Ain't never gonna happen. We're doomed to have those tight bastards in power until they drain all the fun out of the club. We don't even have any exciting players to watch anymore. Dull and shit. Anymore of this dross dished up and surely the board have to start getting it from the support.

Did you guys get a shot on target last week or did you make it to two whole games, I know it got to 150mins?

No-one wants to shoot. It's like a hot potato over the half way line. Looks like we'll be the only team not to score against liverpool/man utd this season.

At least you lot have someone at the helm that wants to take you forward. We have a risk averse money man, happy to have us stay in the league as he knows it takes real investment to challenge, player swapping rather than spending any of their profits, pretending to want to build a stadium…we may as well as have Mike Ashley in charge.

I think that's all pretty over the top, end of the day Spurs achieve about what they should given their wages (consistently just below champs league). Will get a bigger stadium and probably increase revenues a bit, might push on from there.

Squad is decent and if people like lamela, eriksen, soldado all click together then we should score more and I'd back Pochettino to improve the defence over the course of the season (see Southampton). We still really need a new Modric though.

We're a top 6 club, never realistically going to break in with City, Chelsea and presumably Utd when they stop being shit soon, so that leaves us vs Liverpool and Arsenal.

Someone shoot Andros Townsend though, please

I would say top 6 is highly unlikely this season to be honest.

You're in denial mate. Where's this new stadium? Weren't we supposed to have moved in 4 years ago? There seems to be a two-bob excuse everytime there is a delay.

The company running the show have sold all our best players and replaced them with (on the whole) average players who should be sold on for a profit - this policy has seen us get worse year on year. We don't spend any money on players - other than what we make in sales - and you can't deny that we didn't need at least a striker and playmaker this transfer window?

The lack of leadership from the top down is apparent on the pitch - I can't blame the new coach as he's the latest in a long line of fall guys for that bald bastard in the stands. We need new owners sooner rather than later or that vampire will bleed us dry.

We bought a 30 million pound striker last window, I can see the sense in trying to make him come good, especially when we play 1 up front. I'm nowhere near in denial, I'm just being reasonable, we aren't about to be the big boys, and despite our wobbles every season we end up 5-6th. Liverpool, Everton and Man Utd all look beatable at the moment.

I think you're being a bit of a conspiracy theorist about the stadium, we're being taken to the high court by the last business slap bang in the way and raising money and making it sustainable is significantly harder in tottenham than in highbury with all that spendy real estate.

^that's a Corker of a story. Still not as jokes as when Glen Johnson got nicked for stealing a toilet seat from B&Q in his Portsmouth days.

Toilet seat fraud…oh dear

How are we going to make our £30m striker come good when he only plays in the league cup? He's another example of what's wrong with the club…what exactly is the transfer policy? We never seem to buy the type of players we need and certainly never pay up for the (yet another) new manager's first transfer target. Time after time this happens…who would you blame for our stagnation?

Yeah all those teams are beatable but they have all spent real money in trying to improve (where we made a profit over the transfer window without improving). And would you really argue that we are better than any of the teams you listed? I certainly wouldn't.
