Wilshere? Why? Ridiculously injury prone, probably has a couple of games in a season where he stands out but is not consistent enough both in performance and staying injury free

Would have preferred Townsend or Drinkwater over him, Townsend always seems to create opportunities when he is in the England team, good pace and runs at the defence and has a real go, Drinkwater, in form, deserves a place also

Drinkwater and Wilshere were not competing for a place. If you want to be annoyed, look to Henderson

Agree on Townsend to an extent. Roy's bottled the Sturridge/Rashford decision, but to be fair it seems like he's goin with the diamond, so unlikely Townsend would've got a look in

Agreed, Townsend too, great end to the season since his move Newcastle.

Defensively we are weak at present, watch us get dicked by someone average. Could be an interesting few weeks, saying all this I do hope I'm wrong and we get last 4 minimum.

well comes down to exposure , exposure to different styles of play tactics playing in Europe on a regular basis can change thier play mid game etc , hes one the league fair point but thats ten months , no exposure to higher level of players (all be it his own team in training but thats it ) its not a strong enough case drop one of the mentioned two come on guys lets be real

by the way this anDROSS towsend thing needs to stop hes soo inconsistent its a joke too much gassing up from the media …..considering 8 seasons at spurs = 22 league starts ..?!! i suppose him hitting a 40 yard screamer every 2/3 months might appease the Newcastle faithful
