Moyes didn't beat a top four team once away from home in 11 years. Only finished in the European places four times. Laudrup did better in one year, with a lot less money at Swansea than Moyes did in 11 years.
Fergie could paper over the cracks, being such a brilliant man manager. Over reliance on RVP. Half the team are 30+ and injury prone. Kagawa, Young, Hernandez, Clev, Wellbeck etc all decent but not top quality. They don't have the spending power or attraction to get players to replace the old guard who will all be gone soon.

It's much harder to sustain success, comparing Moyes 11 years to Laudrups first year is premature. Laudrups year might be repeated forever and he could be the best manager in the world, or not we will see and don't forget the infrastructure was there from Rodgers & Martinez.
History shows that a few new prem teams get 1 or 2 good seasons but few repeat it consistently.
Not a united fan or Swansea hater, just my opinion.

With the Chelsea especially happy one now back it will be a great season for all.
He should have got the Man Utd Job for sure I think because it would have really been a test for him. Rooney would have stayed and more world class players would want to sign.
Chelsea will love him whatever happens and he loves the club, apparently.

It should be really interesting to see what happens with United. Quite like their no nonsense approach towards Rooney as he's become too big for his boots again, all about him not the team even outside of football: Glasto, Wimbledon, Horse Racing. He's hardly Ronaldo calibre.
