deck has no openings/holes either and we don't want to tear it out/dismantle if possible… outdoor drain is blocked with god knows what, pipe submerged underwater. whatever cretin installed our outside deck, installed it straight over the top of the drain so we have limited/no access to get our hands in. any bright ideas on how to unblock it?
Can you not unscrew a few of boards to get to it? Or is there another drain cover in the garden anywhere? Might be able to rod it from there

No mate, the deck is old and all of the screws are so deep that I can't get to them. Hard to explain.
Update: I've actually managed now to get the drain unblocked using a long piece of wood, but the drainhole is 98% covered in a hard, concrete like shitty substance and the actual drain hole is no bigger than 10p coin. If i can find a long, hard object like a rod of some sort, should I just attempt to 'encourage' it bigger?

Anyone on here with experience having a detached double garage (timber frame or block work, tiled roof) built for their house? Considering buying a major renovation job when things return to normality (acknowledging that will be some time) and trying to cost up some of the work that would be required. Cheers!
