I prefer Black Ops to Modern Warfare 2, due to the fact you tend not to get 14yr old kids running around like headless chickens, trying to do 360 spin no scope shots.
Its a shame its broken, but I'm still persevering with it for the time being.
Add me if you fancy a game

Yeah the PS3 has been cracked wide open by the people who opened up the Wii, with Sony seemingly botching much of the security process. They have exposed their private key through misapplication of elliptic curve cryptography, allowing any PS3 to be downgraded and the firmware to be replaced.
Suprisingly I remember people who followed the scene saying that having Linux on there in the first place was why the PS3 hadn't been hacked much earlier in the generation , the people who would normally hack it to support Linux weren't interested, and those that would open it for piracy couldn't piggyback on their non-existent hacks, and hadn't the tech-savvy to pull it off.
The only decent thing I can think of is allowing the PS3 to play MKV which be nice.

My understanding is that you've been able to play pirated games for some time, at least since the USB exploit was discovered. It sounds like you'll be able to do whatever you want to the PS3 shortly, given it's security has been hacked to bits.
I think download sizes will put people off, for the exclusives anyway - GT5 is 20GB, God of War III around the same, MGS4 even more, all that uncompressed video in FFXIII makes it the biggest at 45GB. All of those are beyond your average piratebay user. Multiplatform games tend to be the size of a dual-layer DVD or less, admittedly. Also as it stands the PS3 only reads FAT32 external HDDs which means games with single files over 4GB can only be run from the internal.
This new stuff doesn't mean piracy necessarily, and everyone involved so far - fail0verflow, GeoHot, Waninkoko, KaKaRoToKs or whatever he's called - are staunchly anti-piracy. The tools are there but someone else will have to do it. Only a matter of time though.
However, the negative side is online gaming would be opened to people cheating without Sony able to ban that console and plus piracy is wrong
