Career mode is buggered at the moment as the computer controlled players all grow insane amounts so in a couple of seasons there are 100s of Messi like players running around the Irish league

John Smith GK - Free transfer with a 77 OVR
Nathaniel Clyne RB - OVR grows to 80+
Nathan Redmond RM - Speedster who has a potential OVR of 80+
Jackson Martinez ST - Good all round striker, pacy and strong.
Jack Robinson LB - Crap OVR rating but grows to 80+ again
Jonathan Williams CAM - Again OVR potential of 80+

My main tip would be to use the scouting system. In my experience hiring scouts with more stars doesn't seem to affect the quality of player found, so I buy 1 star scouts for £50k…keep scouting the players until you know their potential is 70+ and then sign them up. Even if they don't become world class, you can sell them for a couple of mil down the line. Also once your youth players reach 18, loan them out and the bug which increases CPU controlled players should mean that their stats go up quickly.

Well, I'm only Brighton too, hence why scouting is really important. Yeah use my VP, which has an OVR of 80 now

how many seasons you in?

does you VP only increase stats if you actually play? (i mean what about if you just simulate the matches?).
