Would I be incorrect in thinking that Smedley knits are really no better quality than a lot of other cheaper Gap / Uniqlo high street knits . Whenever I have looked at them they really dont look or feel any different

no they are definitely better. not sure whether they are worth £100 each though (i've only ever bought them on sale or from tk maxx)

agreed - the JS ones are of a better quality and you can machine wash them without any drama but I've only ever bought them from TKM.

now converting my everyday knits to uniqlo.

you might find some designer stuff cheap on yoox but uniqlo really are very good for this.

I've always found Gap merino knits to be really shit quality. Not sure if they've fixed up in the last year or not. Never had a bad word to say on JS knits.

Smedley's are good but not worth the money for what i would wear them for(work) when i can get better fitting ones for an 8th of the price. Plus i always find the get pulls easy. Got both the italian and cashmere blend from gap and both look and feel a whole lot more than they cost.

yep them ones. got navy and light grey. way better quality and fitting than h&m. and the quality is the same as the smedley fine wool knits i have.

Where can I get a decent pair of flip flops, preferably brown or black? Don't want Birkenstocks or any gladiator sandal type things.
