Need some help please with this question…

"Gloomy updates from a burger bar chain, a pubs group and a sofa store show that the impact of the credit crunch is spilling beyond financial markets and into household budgets. How does this affect the £1 in your pocket?"

Discuss

Just a quick comment will suffice. Not expecting 1000 word essays.

I thought you did business or something Homer, thought this would be a breeze question for you Laughing out loud

I'm guessing less spending power? Rise of prices to make up for low sales… or lower prices to encourage spending?

You would think so wouldnt ya but im more a law/marketing man Laughing out loud

Err, dunno how it effects the value of the pound. Perhaps lower interest rates due to reduced economic growth would raise inflation.

Spending on food & beer will always remain stable even in times of recession so that wont affect the £1 in your pocket as such as prices will remain even.

Sofa stores will just extend credit terms and cut its profit margins slightly to entice the customer to make a purchase, so again it wouldnt devalue your £1 as such.

Thats just imo of course

make out you're emotionally unstable thus she wont want a relationship with you but should maintain her interest enough to let you bone her on occasion.

randomness at it's best - from an eyewear mailing list I'm on:

Department of Zoology, Stockholm University wrote: Dear readers (man or woman),

We are a group of scientists from Sweden and Italy doing research on
sexuality. Many sensitive issues in sexuality are poorly understood,
mostly due to lack of research. To partly remedy this, we do research on
"fetishism", broadly defined as sexual preferences that are both fairly
strong and not very common. No moral judgment is implied: we simply
view fetishism as one expression of human sexuality.

We post here to advertise a new survey that targets people who are
sexually aroused by a partner or potential partner wearing
GLASSES/SPECTACLES. To take the survey, click on the link below. It will
take at most 20 minutes to complete the survey. We offer a substantial
privacy guarantee: no sensitive data will be monitored or stored at our
site, only the answers you explicitly provide.

To take the survey click:

It would also be of value for our research if you could tell other
people about our initiatives, or give us hints about how to reach a
wider audience. The email address in this message is valid, and you can
use it to communicate with us.

On behalf of the whole research team - http://www.intercult.su.se/ISSI/members.php - thank you for supporting research on sexuality!

Apologies for the amateur question but i've just been accepted for my first credit card, not going to do anything stupid with it maybe just put petrol on there and pay it off each month etc like a few other on here, i just want to start building a credit rating for myself as i have had nothing upto this date. I have got a Halifax 12 months interest free on balance transfers and purchases, does this literally mean for 12 months if for any reason i don't pay the full amount of each month i pay no interest on the balance as long as meet the minimum repayment amount per month ?

Edit: Cheers homer felt abit Oops asking but thanks
